Started off my morning preparing some cereal, my new roommate looked at me like some strange alien. He went out of his way to make rice and sautéed vegetables, while I am sitting there just pouring milk into dried cereal. I am a lazy man in the morning. Should prepare a “Don’t talk to me before I had Coffee” T-shirt that I always wear when I wake up. Maybe that way I can avoid discussions like this morning. Pardon me if I take up too much space while pouring milk, I like to take my time pouring down the liquid from cows. Cooking takes time and space? Not my problem, as I have my little bowl of cereal here that will give me enough energy to survive until lunch, or at least until I get my next cup of coffee. It is like a triathlon that I can only survive thanks to the coffee checkpoint until I get to the finish line through which I collapse. My only hell is that I have to do the entire thing the next day again.
Here is the beauty of office life. Ignore the whole human zoo thing, the coffee triathlon experience or whatever other reasons I gave for explaining how frustrating it is. There is something that you cannot get anywhere else, social contact. While the cubicle makes such a thing quite difficult, but the great technological gods from that strange valley have bestowed upon us a way to use our computers to ignore work. Writing colleagues through the great computers is an experience, as some might use those strange symbols that make no sense, a few would try to contact you for work purposes, but most of the time you can mock your boss without getting caught. What a wonderful life we are experiencing today. If you are wondering, I do in fact write pen guy, but mostly he sends me his favorite articles from Pen’s Weekly. It is as thrilling as it sounds!
