Here’s the thing. There are only a few moments in your life where you believe that something terrifying is going to happen. This could either be the first time you talk to your crush, or tell her your feelings. Another is the cold hard realization that you have no choice but to attend a meeting with your boss. Not just the guy constantly berating you on everything you do, no, sometimes you have to attend a meeting with the big boss being present. It is a terrifying feat, as you will never know what exactly will happen. Maybe you get a random promotion for informing him on a recent project, or you are fired for saying the exact same thing. Sometimes bosses seem to have perfect control over people, but not enough over themselves. It is a rather fascinating spectacle. Maybe someday in the future we will have boss zoos, where they showcase the different type of leaders. Here is the section for laisse-et-faire bosses. While not much work gets done, they are the most popular and people seem to enjoy follow them. Not follow their orders, but follow them. Over here we have a new section on presidential leaders, the new one is a rather unique specimen. He reminds many of a very vicious beast from nature, but in reality he is just a little guy with a soft skin. Don’t hurl insults at him, he might start throwing little blue birds at you.
Speaking of human zoos, does anyone else think that offices are just that? While people can’t look inside, we are still trapped in an environment that feeds us, gives us warmth and makes more money off of us than we do off of the organization. We are but a bunch of monkeys typing into computers so that the banana factory can make its money again while we get our monthly banana supply. Those that battle the system are put into their cages for the world to know that they have gone against the system. In reality, we do not complain as it gives us purpose, as flimsy as it may be. Those bananas give us something to strive for, maybe trade one banana for something nice that makes you happy. We work for those bananas, but what we do with it is all up to us. The only illusion of choice is the fact that we can decide to stay at home, or actually work. Government does not offer that many bananas to have a fulfilling life, but some are happy. Man, I am really craving bananas right now.
